My creative process begins where land meets the sea along coastlines shaped by wind, water, and time. Through photography, I document these liminal spaces: the shifting light on tidal flats, the quiet geometry of piers, the textured stories etched into driftwood, sand and stone. These images are my way of witnessing the coast’s ever-changing character.
I use my photographs not as endpoints, but as starting points—portals into memory, mood, and abstraction. In the studio, I reinterpret what the camera captured, letting color and gesture reveal what the lens could not: the emotional undercurrents, the sense of solitude, the ripples of water translated into brushstrokes.
Each painting is a dialogue between observation and imagination. I aim to distill the essence of the coastal life—not just its visual beauty, but its atmosphere, its quiet resilience, and its power to evoke reflection. My goal is to invite viewers to linger, to feel the salt in the air, and to experience the coast not just as a place, but as a presence.
